Must read updates: New clan leader

Season: Welcome to Aphotic Affiliate:
It's Spring, and not a moment too soon. The humidity is fairly high, but the temperature is still barely above five degrees at higher altitude.

Grazing has been good and there has been a perfect amount of rain, but the melting snow and ice has flooded the rivers and streams, so be careful!
Welcome to Aphotic, a wild horse ropleplay set in the mountains of Norway. We have just opened and are currently welcoming all horses, from all clans. If you have any questions, we are happy to help you out. Thanks for your visit, from all the staff at Aphotic.

[ ]Forecasts
As Aphotic is impacted quite a lot by the weather, a member of staff will change it every season. It's basically the same as is on the info table, but it is more in depth with forecasts for each territory. You must play out the weather. It can turn a boring post into an exiting one. All ranked stallions must reply here each weather change or risk losing their rank.

This is the equivalent of a join board. The first thing you do is post a bio for your character. A staff member will then accept your bio as soon as possible. You cannot begin roleplay until your bio is accepted.

Free Lands
[ ]Caliginous Valley
You can almost feel the history in this secluded valley. The forest breaks at the bottom of the mountains and a wide, flat expanse of smooth stones is revealed. A glacier passed though here. The valley is only visited for one purpose: one on one battles.

[ ]Twin Peak
As the name suggests, this is a large mountain with twin summits. The lower parts are covered in thick forest, with few paths so it's easy to get lost. It rains a lot and the air is thick with moisture. The smaller peak has scant grazing and is very cold. Few attempt the higher peak – even in summer it is capped with deep snow. At the base lies the mysterious Echoing Caves, where horses come to breed and foal.

[ ]Mt. Tenebrous
Not quite a mountain, a plateau and one of the few in Aphotic. The grazing here is plentiful, except in winter when it is frozen solid by cold. There is scant forest with good roughage and cover. The plateau is wreathed in fine silver mist and when it rains, it collects in a shallow depression in the center of the flat top.

[ ]Fortvile Ridge
What mountain landscape would be complete without a ridge? The Fortvile Ridge is bare of forest, but has plenty of moss and hardy types of grass that love the heavy rainfall. You can see the rushing torrent of the Fortvile River below. The ice and rain make it a force to be reckoned with, so keep your wits about you.

The Clan Territories
[ ]The Argern
When the land was divided up decades ago, the Argern chose the Northern sector. They needed to darkest, impassible and most intimidating piece of land they could find to ward off visitors. Their territory encircles a vast contrast, from deep and confusing forest, to slippery and treacherous rock in one. It lies directly in the shadow of one particularly large mountain, which manages to deepen the fear you feel in this place.

[ ]The Desordre
The residence of the Desordre lies in the eastern part of Aphotic. It is a strange corner, full of unexpected beauty and danger. The valleys and passages between the mountains are twisting tunnels of confusion and the mountains are so steep as to be nearly vertical. But there is also a strange and eerie beauty here too. There is so little space and so many hidey holes that any kind of attack here would be a problem.

[ ]The Vantarsi
There can be no doubt that the Southern territory belonging to the Vantarsi is the most magnificent. Deep green forest, crystal waterfalls and mountains so high they are able to catch a few fading rays of sunlight. The food here is abundant, and it is well poitioned for an attack so the Vantarsi are always on alert.

[ ]The Ombra
To the East is a territory right on the edge of the lands. Most of it is taken up by a huge gorge where the swollen Fortvile River makes it's exit from the mountains and heads to the sea. There is little else here but dead trees and fog that has risen from the river. Often the Ombra will have to resort to the free lands to find food.
